Chaos (báseň)

Chaos je báseň demonstrující nepravidelnosti v anglickém pravopise a výslovnosti. Napsal ji nizozemský spisovatel, cestovatel a učitel Gerard Nolst Trenité (1870-1946) a v nejobsáhlejší verzi zahrnuje 800 příkladů pravopisných nepravidelností. První verze o 146 řádcích textu se objevila v dodatku k autorově učebnici Drop Your Foreign Accent: engelsche uitspraakoefeningen (1920). Existuje však obsáhlejší verze, vydaná The Spelling Society v letech 1992-93, která má 274 řádků.
