Hlavou kapely je Morten Veland, jehož práce byla již dobře známa, když hrál v kapele Tristania. Sirenia je jednou z posledních kapel norské gotické školy (Theatre of Tragedy, Tristania, Trail of Tears, The Sins of Thy Beloved), která je ještě aktivní.
